Woolen Sweetness
This pastel painting was inspired by a day strolling around a historical village. It was a hot summer day, and while being in my studio at times, I can get distracted. I love to paint, but on this day I was looking to get out and take in some fresh air and sunshine. I always take my camera with me, because I’m sure to get inspired by something that I see. On this day, I came across a fenced area with sheep. Some were lying, and some were all pressed against the fence, trying to get in the shade. This little guy’s energy called to me, so I took a few pictures and started my next painting. I wanted to use this piece of art as an exploration of textures.
