Labor of Love

When starting a portrait, I need to know the backstory reflecting the person’s personality and what is dear to their heart. In this portrait, I wanted to pay close attention to illustrate a zest for life and love of animals. I had lots of reference photos showing different positions, and then I piece them together as the art of storytelling begins.
